I am new here so I don't know how many of you know CampingCarl, but according to him he's pretty highly ranked in TF2. Just to be clear, I am not here to be part of eGO. I am already a member of a clan on XLink Kai, a system link networking system that was started as a free alternative to Xbox Live. What I am here for is that, at CampingCarl's request, I update you guys on the status of the game I'm making because he says you guys are interested. For anyone who wanted CampingCarl to post the SourceSDK "Level Creating for Dummies" tutorial, I am the one who created that tutorial. I am also currently working on a game using the Source engine with gameplay mechanics similar to those of a Flash game called "The Last Stand 2". Right now my game is being codenamed Alamo and hopefully I shall have a demo of the night time part of the game ready soon. I originally wasn't going to release that demo at all considering I was using it only to see if the mechanics were able to work right but at the request of the Dean of Students at my school, he wants an .exe so that he can play it. Right now I am on version 6.1 of my build and this is my first real attempt at creating something with Source. I am adding in the final touches and tweaking certain bugs. Just as a forewarning now: I did not make nor do I claim to make any of the models or textures. The only thing I created is the level layout and scripting. Hopefully I will get some FRAPS screenshots up in a bit of what I currently have. If you want an idea of what my game will be about, play The Last Stand 2. Then change the perspective to FPS. And since Zombies are overdone, I will not be using Zombies as the enemies. That is something that is something I will keep a secret. (for now).
