What kind of headset/mic do u guys use?

I use my laptop to play DoD, either at work or home. I use earphones + mic built into laptop. This worked out ok, but when I speak into mic, i found I have to say it pretty loud for people to hear me.

When at work (I work at visual effects and computer graphics studio), playing game is acceptable at times as "research". Which I take full advantage of. But it does freak people out when I yell out "ENEMY COMING FROM SEWERS!!!" into my laptop while everyone is working.

So what I need is a small headset + mic combo that I do not need to yell loudly, and is easy to carry in a laptop bag. So I can't get something that is a full headset that cups my ears.

Anyone have any suggestions on their headset + mic they use that is pretty good to carry in a small compartment in a laptop bag? If possible please post link or at least give me the model/brand name.

We just ordered 2 of these again a few days ago from Tigerdirect for 2 with s&h for 25 bucks total. You can find these cheap by looking at google search.

lol, actually I forgot to mention I use a desktop microphone. I have a Logitech with usb cable, and a back-up (in case my mum takes mine away) which is really cheap and brandless

Very good sound and microphone. Covers my whole ear so all I hear is the game. Its got good bass and when I get next to a MG or .30Cal or any gun I can "feel" it.

Heh, just last night I yelled GRENADE and my roommate woke up and ran into my room with a big scared look on his face!

I have a KOSS PRO/4AA Headphone which are huge and heavy but very quiet. And a cheap Logitech, refurbished, $7.00, desktop mic. Maybe someday I'll buy a gaming headset for a wireless headset from Turtlebeach. It's a shame that Turtlebeach don't make wireless gaming headsets. Just regular wireless headsets.
