can't get on server

been trying to get into the servers but it freezes at retrieving for me on the load screen, tried to reboot my computer but nothing seems to work not sure if it's a problem with TF2 or my computer

go on to your games right click TF2 hit Properties go to local files and do thees two things

Verify integrity of game cache
and
Defragment cache files

that may fix your problem if not uninstall TF2 then reinstall it.

did both and the same thing, then go to control alt delete and task manager and says it's not responding....weird

A good guess is that you have too many things running in the background on your PC. Try rebooting your PC and then when you recover, ensure you have exited (not just closed) any and all non-essential background processes and apps.

There's a variety of tools which analyze start-up processes and programs. Check one to see what's starting up when you start your PC.
