The PCI Express bus type for graphics cards is the standard going forward for all systems and motherboards. In fact, AGP is no longer being supported.

As a follow up to this, for all you eVGA users, they offer a 90-day step up program. Register your product on their website, which will track the date from which you purchased the unit. From then you have 90 days (or less) to trade in your current video card or motherboard for a newer model. They take the price at which you purchased the product and weigh it against the new unit and you pay the difference (if there even is one).

For example. I purchased the GTX 260 at $279.99. A couple months later, the GTX 260 Core 216 came out for just $299.99. If my step up time limit hadn't expired, I could have paid a paltry $20 for a better card in brand new condition with free shipping. You can't lose.

Here's a hint. If you want a better PCI video card get one of the qualifying cards from eBay. Then send register it and send it in to BFG. Decide if you want the upgrade for $50 or not.

Viola! You have a kick #*( card for cheap. I saw a BFG 6800 GTOC on ebay going for $34. That would get you a 9600 GTOC or for $50 more you'd get the 9800 GTOC. 85$ for a 9800 GTOC... not bad.
