I want to know if I should report the people who I only find camping the spawn? Because I usually forget their names as they are on for maybe a few hours before they figure out that the hardcore members of EGO are on that server. But I've noticed one =e= that I ONLY saw him camping while I was playing the map when he and I were on for two days in a row. I know Dragonhill has said that he'll add an extra spawn area to tone this down, but I just want some input on this should be handled.

Spawn camping is considered a legitimate tactic on eGO TF2 servers. The only action you need to take is attacking them. :D

Just to expand a bit on what Tattis said. Spawn camping, especially on Black Mesa will normally be referred to as "Spawn Controlling". If you play Black Mesa for any length of time you'll soon realize that winning that map, often relies on having one part of the team controlling the spawn and the other half capturing the last control point.

Regardless, stopping a spawn camper, really isn't very difficult. And after you've killed them, and whatever medic friends they have hanging around (although hopefully you targeted the medic first) - they have to run all the way back over from their spawn. Hopefully you'll take that opportunity to build defenses to keep them from sneaking up on your spawn, or return the favor by hustling over to their spawn.

I'm going to assume that =(e)= was either Dave, Carl, or myself. xd

Spawn camping is easy to ruin. Demos and snipers particularly can do it the best.

Usually if you actually announce you're being spawncamped, someone outside the spawn can turn around and help. Half the times playing as demo I'm sitting up in our vents (watching C or L) and could VERY, VERY easily get into the room above the spawn and take out whoever's camping. People usually won't even mention it, whether they think that other people in the spawn don't need reminding or they're just not very social, what have you. Remember there ARE people on the other side, though, if you don't tell them they can't rightly help.

We at eGO define spawn camping as the killing/damaging of an enemy as they are spawning. In TF2, this is impossible or extremely difficult in most maps. Camping an exit from spawn is no different than camping any choke point and should be treated as such.
