its not written in stone that veggies are always healthy, or is it?

So, if my doctor tells me to eat plenty of vegetables, popcorn would be acceptable?

Technically speaking, yes it is a vegetable, as is regular corn. However, it is worth noting that neither popcorn or regular corn are particularly useful for you from a nutrition standpoint.

In fact, we can't even digest hardly any of what's in corn. It's pointless to eat it, you'll be seeing entire kernels of corn completely untouched by digestion what should be roughly three days after you eat the corn in the toilet. If you know what I mean.

I would definitely say popcorn is a vegetable, as it is just a popped version of corn.

Its alreayd been said, but i said yes just for fun.... and its yes in the same way that french fries are also a vegetable.

dang thats a hard one i said no....but now i think about it when we cook other veggies its still called a veggie...

When you pop the corn everything that was healthy disappears and get salted and oiled, so no its not a vegetable :p
