So I just got back from a two day ski trip, and I wanted so TF2. It launched quickly, but when I went into the "Find Servers", it said under each tab that I needed Steam Beta to Find Servers. I searched for steam updates, but my steam client is up to date. What is going on?

No idea. Have you tried closing and restarting Steam?
A quick search on the Intertubes show other people with the same error. Some got working again after restarting. Others had to reinstall Steam (backup your apps first!).

same thing came to me when i opened Dod... but then i started it again then it was fixed , but idk what was it all about
