I've been kicked from your server for the second time now, and honestly it is getting rather annoying.

I go in as the player [It Burns] I piss _____, where _____ is the word of your choice (rockets, lemon juice, coffee, motor oil, etc.).

Last I checked, "piss" wasn't considered offensive language. If you believe it is, I think plenty of "family movies" need to have their ratings adjusted. If you believe that word to be "more offensive than PG-13," I'm sure that the movie rating division of the MPAA would love to hear it because apparently you know something they don't.

Furthermore, your rules don't state anything in regard to what would or wouldn't be considered offensive (as it would be a given in any respectable server that blatantly offensive language be disallowed).

In addition to this, rules are not posted in the MOTD when entering the server as they usually are in other servers, but instead, a lovely advertisement for gaming PCs.

I also find it amusing that you rate yourself as "A Mature World Gaming Community" in this regard.

I've never had a problem with this name in any of the servers I play. Most of your admins really don't care, as I'm sure not a single person on this whole planet except for an over-sheltering far right-wing puritan/Quaker/pilgrim/Amish conservative "hell-fire and damnation" Christian mother would be the only person to be remotely offended.

I mean seriously, its not even a curse word. It doesn't offend any religion, race, ethnicity, or age.

Thanks, but no thanks. I was banned for arguing with an admin in regard to being banned (which shouldn't have happened in the first place ) for some reason (which was invalid anyway).

I fail to understand your logic, but here's how I understand it so far:
Apparently, as the idiot I am, I spent the time to register on your forum, log in with a friend's account to argue with your admins, copy and transfer the log to my own computer, post these lengthy posts, and even color-code my frustration for your convenience, only to overlook the issue at hand and instead be told that my sarcasm isn't helping, as if I had no right to be sarcastic. All this while I clearly have nothing better to do with my time (attempted sarcasm for the sake of humor).

Artimus, with all due respect, I approached you (eGO) with sarcasm as a result of an offense. Feel free to review chat logs if you truly believe that I'm not a joy to play with. Unless spoken to, I rarely say anything at all, with the exception of occasional "CART!," or "GO," or "WEEEE" or "you have issues in your tissues!" (you follow me yet?). If you choose to side on the "might makes right" argument, consider this to be my last post, but don't imply that I'm stupid. I figured an organization as large as eGO might have more honorable priorities, which is why I'm writing this right now. I would otherwise have found another server to play in.

But in response to that comment, if you scroll up and read the post where I posted a link for the post I posted on my clan's form (post post post ), you'll notice that I posted it for the sole purpose of verifying whether or not I truly am an idiot. Sorry if I'm mistaken here, but I'm under the impression that you all think I'm an idiot.

I got kicked for having a word in my name that is allowed in the servers. I rejoined because I didn't think I did anything wrong, and I then got banned. At that point in time, I still hadn't done anything wrong. However, I was wronged. Therefore, unless you'd like to resort to "might makes right," feel free to tell me I don't deserve to be frustrated.

Read and listen. If you are angry take a break and do the request tomorrow. This could have been fixed easily at the start, but now it has escalated into something else you do not want. When requests go over 5 posts it is not a good sign.

However, we all have our egos (pun not intended), and mine likes chocolate cake. As you can see, I've revised the tone of my posts.

Now I also understand that when admins make a decision, its final unless higher admins dispute that decision. However, I'm also very familiar with the concept that admins who abuse their abilities are reprimanded (such as kicking and banning people who use a word that is allowed, context included), which is part of the reason why I'm posting. If all I wanted to do was get unbanned, I would have come in here apologizing up a storm and bowing to your feet. However, earlier today I was replacing the warped and rust-siezed rotors on my car, and while attempting to bash the rotor off by hammering it from inside the car, I missed and hit my knee. It hurt like hell (and still does), so you see, I can't bow to your feet.

One more thing. Pissy is like, a late 90's valley girl in California (yeah?). I'm not pissy. I'm just annoyed.

I'm not even angry, and I can prove it. Want me to send you a picture of my face right now? These requests went over 5 posts because I started being nit-picked over details not relevant to my original ban. Granted, I was partially to blame as my apparent abrasiveness was hardly beneficial to my argument, but we've gone over that already.

As you can see, I've listened to my friend, all with the exception of letting it go.

In regard to the names of those eGO members, that information is unavailable, as our Office server has been non-existent for a year now, and we've since purged our ban section of unnecessary old bans. If you insist on getting that information, perhaps he may be able to pull up some archives, but those issues have long been forgiven and forgotten. OFPR has been around for upward of 9 years now, so I'll have to ask that you take our word on this one.

But, what did not help your cause was to argue with an admin and question his authority on an open server. You should have just changed your name and listened to him. You should have added him to friends and talked it over there. You do not have the right to argue with an admin on a public server. Talk with him in steam chat.

Next, if you have a complaint about this person, you go one of our leaders and send him a pm, or an email, and explain the situation there. What you do not do, is go to another server, on a friends account, argue with admins there, and get that server stirred up. And, on top of it all, get your friends Id banned as well. Again, I am sorry that there was a misunderstanding between you and the banning admin, but the worse thing you could is question the admins authority and argue with them on an open server. Please, think things through before you do them.

Right or wrong, pissing off anybody in leadership is a fast way to NOT get your way. If you have a beef you have to be respectful - not because they demand it, but because they'll show you the same.

From past experiences of my own in various games, if the admin tells you to do something, do it without question. Also, an easier way to have gone about this name issue is to have changed your name and then have a discussion with the admin that told you to change it.

First off, it was the the same server. I didn't feel it was necessary to contest my ban on these forums, because that would take longer than going in there and trying to figure out why I was banned in the first place.

In addition, it wasn't just one person. It was closer to 3 or 4. Yes, these are minor details, but I'm mentioning them for clarification.

I didn't question the admin's authority, as he made his authority very clear when he banned me. I questioned the validity of his decision, and he responded by kicking me.

For further clarification, my fiance's brother's computer is 3 feet away from me. I moved my chair, and connected to the server that we were both playing in, as he had walked away for a short while. My actions were quite convenient. Were they the best actions to get me unbanned? Perhaps not.

You just told me to "Please, think things through before you do them." Keep in mind I'm not the only one here guilty of not thinking things through before doing them.

I'm not deliberately trying to be funny or cute here. I'm having a good time, because while I feel its worth continuing this discussion (which my fiance is getting a great kick out of btw), I can in a second shut down this window and find another server to play in. So while eGO's server is pretty cool, its not the only (or biggest) fish in the sea. At this point, my "eGO's TF2 server is pretty cool" sentiment is worth the effort to get me unbanned and to make me immune from further "you have 'piss' in your name" insta-kicks/bans.

Like I said, if I need to, I'll take a photo of my pretty face so you can see that no steam is coming out of my ears.

The facts at hand appeal to both sides, which is why we're still discussing this issue. I probably shouldn't have argued with admins, but on the flipside, I shouldn't have gotten kicked and banned in the first place. All things considered, all actions stemmed from that initial ban.

Well you're right. You see, the first time I got kicked a few days ago, I did change my name. I changed it from [It Burns] I Piss Melons to [It Burns] I Urinate Melons. However, after a few hours, I realized it just didn't sound the same. You see, "I Piss _____" stems from a t-shirt sold on snorgtees.com, which states "I Piss Excellence." So as you can see, changing the name is simply unethical.

But on a more serious note, I agree it would have been a great idea to just change my name and have a discussion later. It was such a great idea in fact that I did just that the first time. After changing it, I promptly went back in and asked why I got kicked, and the admin basically became annoyed and refused to discuss the topic and said something on the lines of "just play." I so I just played, and changed my name back today.

You see, all fingers are pointed at me, as if your admins are angels. Your comment of "if an admin tells you to do something, just do it" is not only ridiculous, but also conducive to terrible server management and lack of accountability. The "might makes right" mentality is the greatest and most proven way to encourage admin abuse and empty a server, so unless you (or anyone else) would like to continue playing that card, I'd like to continue discussing this tonight. After all, I'm not very sleepy, and I still want to play some TF2.

Umm, ok? For contesting being kicked and banned for doing nothing wrong? My admitted fault begins only after I was banned. Have you not read this entire thread? I missed what I did wrong for being banned for a week. All post-ban actions and events aside, I should not be banned.

We will no longer be posting here. Why? Because this has gotten to be ridicuolus and out of hand. This is were this discussion ends, you were banned for not listening to the admin who asked you to change your name(even though he was wrong), going on a public server and arguing with admins, and comming on to the forums to argue some more with the admins. And, unlike you it seems, some of us have lives, where we don't want to be posting here all night, arguing to you aimlessly because you can't seem to understand our point.
