Counter Strike: Source Tips to Getting Good.

Well, after playing a bit again, I'm going to be pointing out tips for the Scout, Ak-47, M4A1, and P90 along with general tips.

General Tips:

- BEST TIP: PRACTICE!
- Never spray at long range. I consider long range the length from Counter Terrorist spawn to the garage door on cs_office. If you're closer, why not?

- When bursting (1-4 shots ONLY), don't strafe. Stop and shoot, because you'll almost never hit in time before they shoot you.

- Notice what weapon is being fired at you, and take advantage of the situation.

- Using the "Shift" key to move slowly is very effective, use it.

- Use the radar, it shows enemies when they shoot

- Pay attention to your surroundings, occasionally look around.

- When rushing, bring flash grenades.

Scout Tips:

- As I said above, never move around while shooting. Strafe, stop, shoot, strafe, stop shoot. Remember that.

- Always aim for the head, don't go for a body shot unless:

- If you see two people fighting, you can either steal their kill or if he dies, shoot the opponent. Chances are their below 50.

- When rushing with the scout (not recommended), take out your secondary weapon.

- Use the Qx2 method. When you shoot, hit Q twice very fast to save time. (BBoy Physicx)

- When at medium range try to follow an enemy with your gun at your hip then zoom in once very quickly and fire. (Quick Scope, SynicaL)

Ak-47/M4A1 Tips:

- Always shoot for the chest on a moving target. Bullets usually tend to move upwards so you'll either kill them normally or get a headshot.

- Always use 1-4 shot bursts

P90:
- Never stay still or try to kill someone from a distance

- Always spray, it may seem low, but it works

- Aim for the body

- Rush

- On office CT, go up stairway and rush to T spawn.

Sniping tips

Always use the "Q" method xD

example:
when you shot then quickly press the key "Q" twice so that you dont have to lose a couple of second reloading. when you do the method you dont have to reload until the clip is gone

my Q key is broken off and it only works 1/100 of the time ...took me forever to get that one
does switching with the mouse wheel serve as an alternate?, or isnt it as fast?

Something i do when im using the Scout:

When at medium range try to follow an enemy with your gun at your hip then zoom in once very quickly and fire.

This is much better then zooming in and trying to follow the enemy while zoomed in.

I know it as the "Quick Scope" technique and it really comes in handy!

Never bring flashes when rushing, it blatantly gives away the rush, people tend to panic when they scream over the mic, OMG WTF OMG OMG OMG I AM GETTING OWNED, and when they see 6 people die at once it tends to make people nervous!
