No edit Button

I remember it was here, but now it's not. It gets frustrating, for example if I say cool[/v] instead of cool and makes me look stupid.

Possible bug, or if it was intentional, it was a bad idea.

Are you sure there's no edit button on the bottom of your post...? Right beside quote. Look at the bottom of this post, below my sig.

Don't quite understand what you mean by making you look stupid or what "cool" has to do with it, but the edit button is still here for me.

Possibly just a glitch with the forums then, where some boards have the option and some don't, eh?

Ive experienced this before. It just does it from time to time.
I edit my posts alot cause i make stupid spelling errors or i notice some gramatical error and occasionally there wont be an edit button.

So he is telling the truth.
I'll try to get a screen of when it happens.

It's simply disabled in a lot of forums. Something that can probably easily be fixed in the Administrator Control Panel.

It seems not to work in the News + Polling forums. Thats all that I know of.

Its by design to not be able to edit announcement posts.
just always use the "Advanced" option and PREVIEW post before hitting "Post"

I believe there is a reason why there are no edits allowed. Not sure, though.

Those are the posting rules. They are different for different thread sections. I think the "no edit button" only applies in News & Poll & other important threads I guess.
