I have an andrea NC-8 mic with a standard 3.5mm mini jack on it, I have the install cd's but there very old, like 1999 old :S and wont work, i'm giving up on them, how do I install the mic without the CD's? ive searched for the drivers but no luck :S wondering if a tech freak can help me out

xxx

Seems odd you would even need drivers. Andrea's site doesn't mention them at all...

yeah, that is weird, i would just plug my mic in and use it, no drivers for it needed

You probably don't need it, I plugged in mine and it just worked right away, don't worry...

Go plug it in and test it and see if it works, btw I was 4-5 years old when you got that mic XD.

:D 1999? Holy smokes. That's probably too old for me! :) Some headsets at Wal-Mart cost 20$... As much as it's not a tip, I guess you won't have to spend too much for a decent headie. :)

xD I dunno if its broken or just doesnt want to work, its a piece of crap anyway just something to use before I get a new mic ^_^ thanks anyway guys! xxx

Fairy princess.... is your computer custom built or off the shelf? My Asus P2B board will not let the fron mic jack work... the headphone jack works, just not the mic. My solution was to buy a USB mic (like the $20 Logitech one from Newegg)...

You don't need drivers for headphones/mic the cd's most likely just installed an application for the 'mixing' and volume control.
