possible virus?

Hay guys, I had a question for my brother actually (i swear its for him) his computer for some reason dose not send a signal to any kind of monitor anymore i have tried it on two dif ones. He said he happened after "his friend" d/l a bunch of pornography off of limewire, is it just a coincident that something hardwear related died or is it a virus you think? (i swear go god its not me i dont dl off of p2p's

Most likely coincidence. No matter what kind of virus, a computer should be able to POST (Power on Self Test.) If you're not at least getting a BIOS screen (the stuff that comes up before the Windows screen), it sounds like a hardware problem, video or otherwise.

Make sure its plugged in and make sure that there isnt any Physcial damage. to it

No i dont see any damage... the monitor works but the computer isnt sending it any info... there is no graphic card the video is hooked to the motherboard, dose that mean the motherboard is dead?

I had something similar to this happen to one of my old computers. In my amateur opinion, it sounds like your computer's totally fried. Has it been running warm lately or done a random shutdown?

It means you should try plugging in a video card to see if that helps. Doesn't sound good, though.

yeah i would try plugging in a graphics card, only if you have one. Its not worth buying a new one to find out it doesnt work.

IMO, its a motherboard problem, and just a big coincidence. You could also try another monitor (unless you have, i kinda read through it quickly) and see if that works.
