Anybody here play Dod or tf2 on there laptop?
I'm kinda looking into it would be great if i didn't have to lug my desktop around to play tf2 over a friends house or lan parties.

They'll run reasonably well on most laptops with dedicated graphics. Anything with integrated graphics will choke, though.

I do, i run DOD on my laptop too, it has an ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 256MB, works pretty smooth. And a couple other games with settings on medium or low.

I run all of my gameson high on my laptop. they seem to work fine, except L4D sometimes.

laptop gaming is terrible, i hate the keyboard on a laptop

laptop gaming isn't bad, but be aware most laptops that are built for gaming tend to have low battery life & get pretty warm. however if you get a decent laptop cooler & a mouse to take with it, its not that different then desktop gaming. maybe look into microatx form boards and cases. while not as small and portable as a laptop, its still alot easier than lugging around a full sized tower + you can build a micro atx computer that'll get you better performance than an expensive 'gaming' laptop for a fraction of the price.

I love my gaming laptop. Gateway P-7811FX. Just make sure to buy a cooling pad when gaming with a laptop. Only downside. I always have my battery plugged up so I dont know about battery life...

I have a 2 year old Dell Latitude D810 laptop. I play all of the source games on reasonable settings with reasonable frame rates. :D
