In-Game Browser

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of lag when browsing the eGO forums through the new steam in-game web browser?

I get a lot less lag on gmail and other websites I browse often, but this forum seems to slow it to a crawl.

Hmm... my thought is that the ego site is bigger, like much more content than a more minimalistic site like gmail, unless the other sites yer talkin bout are pretty big too... I guess it's just the internet speed at that point
I can't really test it, 'cause I have pretty mediocre speed- 768k dsl...and steam browser lags overall on my compy

Start up steam . File , Settings. There u will see Beta Participation. Click on change and then do : "Steam Client Candidate". Then you will get the ingame browser

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Steam allow you to browse before? Like a few months ago or something? Or is this the first time ever?

Wow this will be incredably usefull for ban req and other admining tasks. All i need now is to some how get vent to work like steam where it runs ontop in an overlay ingame, and im sorted!

mediocore=my connection, wich is 100kb per second at most 150kb.

And steam shouldn't have much of a problem browsing edgegamers, so it might be your computer?
