What should i install?

AMD Phenomx4 9600 @ 2.3ghz Quad
2gbs of ramm ddr2 1066mhz
500gb WD 7200RPM Sata2 i think
MSI Nvidia 9800GT OC edition
15inch lcd monitor
700Watt PSU


so should i get vista or xp and should i install 86x(32bit) or 64x(64bit)?

It's not the OS that is the limiting factor, per se. It's the applications you use - along with the OS - which will be the limiting factor. Still relatively few programs are optimized for quad core.

its a theme that changes everything to Mac OSX theme, it looks good and easy to install;its just an exe and easy to unistall.

it does. i think 32 bit is better because there are some/a lot of programs that dont work on 64 bit

Using Vista U x64 here, all games and applications work without a problem. Since your hardware's relatively up-to-date, x64 drivers should be easy to find, and should also install without a hitch.

I'm with HardHat on this one - at this point Vista64 sp1 is your best bet.

***HOWEVER***

Remember that Windows 7 will probably be coming out this year. Do you really want to spend a couple hundred bucks on something that's only half-good? Or do you want to wait and get the latest OS (that will most likely be quite a bit better)? It's your call, but my suggestion would be at this point in the game to wait.
