Playing on nonGO vs eGO server

A note of general observation and appreciation:

Just for kicks (actually checking to see whether Steam friends works or not), I just played a few rounds on a couple of different non-eGO servers.

Wow. What a difference.

I've been playing on eGO servers for about four or five months now, and I've grown to be so used to the high skill level and low "punkiness" of them I'd forgotten what general public servers are like.

Downright vulgar and nasty insults. Sentences comprised of just swear words (didn't know you could do that...). Mic spamming. Voice spamming. People quarreling back-and-forth over who should do what and when.

And to prove my point, I went 37-3 as a soldier. And if you've ever played against me, you know I'm a horrible soldier.

It's great to have a fun *and* challenging place to play. Thanks, eGO!

Generally, random servers are very low in general skill involved. Servers that have large clan connections tend to do well, as they often attract a returning crowd, such as ours :D
 
You're right. eGO severs have much more skilled and friend kind of atmosphere.

It's all about picking the right pubs to play with. My favorited servers that are non-ego have some players that make our top players look like newbies.
 
That's why I joined. The eGO servers are fantastic! The fact that they are actively admined helps alot, and the "no swearing" rule really promotes a great atmosphere. It's competitive as well.

I couldn't have said it better myself. That is exactly why i decided to join. Over the course of a few months i gradually stopped playing anywhere else without even realizing it.
 
The quality of our servers are great! the website is amazing and I think my favorite part of ego is that I mainly play TF2 but if I go in CSS or DOD-source they admins are all welcoming there too. The community is great! <3
 
I must concur.. every so often I venture out into the wild of non-eGO servers and have actually been appalled at how unruly some servers are. Hacks, swearing, racism... it's terrible.

I am very, very happy to play on our servers.
 
Sometimes, i do venture out of our ego cathedralto get a whiff at the reactions a well placed backstab can make some unruly people say.
 
I lik eGO, but it doesn't matter to me what server i play on. They're all the same to me.
 
I like the maps. But eGO has definitely upped my team play and skill level, and I've found more friends here than any of the other clans that have invited me.

I don't play anywhere else. This community is just too good to degrade myself by going to play on another server. Keep up the good admining eG's!
 
EGO servers are the best. The only other servers I ever play on are FUGs and thats because I have been playing RTCW for a few years with FUG and Snood. I only play them when certain admins are on because they keep the shenanigans in check. I love it here because people are treated with respect.
