ok so yesturday i was playing AOC. then my friend sent me a thing for a steamgiveaway. so i kicked butt on that then after i went to go check it out. and when i play steam i use save password.... ok so i chekc it out and it asks for my pass. i type it in and it works.. then it logs me out i type it in again DOESNT WORK. i havent played steam for 1 day and steam is getting me really mad because i have emailed them 5 times to get my password back and all they have said is would u like to see your question? so i click that its what i have sent to them! not the answere! im very afraid i might now beable to play steam anymore.... any possibilities? or answereS?

Agh...I'm almost positive that the thing you received about the steam give-away was a scam for your password...

If you had looked at the link at the top of the page, it wasn't a valve steam website.
You may have to contact steam to see if you can get your possibly stolen account back.

Yup, there was a steam scam going around yesterday. I reported them to there webhost, and they replied back within an hour, and banned them from .tk.

Well, anyways, don't be persistent: that would get you lower on the list. Just report a hacked account, and you should get it back soon enough.

Sorry man. Check connections to your internet. Its possible and "outside" source has gotten into it.
Try sending in a personal email to steam, including your old password.

Well I can tell you one thing, unfortunately you won't be able to play any time soon. Most likely no one is there that can help you at steam because of the holidays. Your gonna have to wait for Friday. I would suggest contacting steam and explaining your situation in detail. I assume your friend was someone you know and trust not just a gamer buddy so we can rule out the stolen account idea? If that is the case then you need to go through the process of getting your password reset or try to remember what it was. For the future always write it down for your own record to avoid such things.
