Should i buy a new video card and left for dead, or
Buy a whole new pc and buy left for dead

Also my mother board can't support DDR3 ram I don't know if that would apply to a video card as well?

No, it doesn't matter.


If the GFX card uses GDDR5 or whatever it doesn't matter what your mother board supports.

Also can anyone verify this but I thought if you have Intel it would be better to go with Nvidia?

I have an ATI x1600 myself which is older then that and I had no problems running L4D but then again it was only the demo

I'm also looking to buy a new graphics card, something like 80$ would be nice.

Nvidia chipsets work with ATI cards and vice versa. The only time you'd have to use an nvidia chipset with an nvidia card would be if you're going to SLI it.
