Dual Monitor or LCD TV

I came up to a conclusion that i will be getting a new display. I already have a HP w2408 24" monitor and thinking to add another monitor (same model). Or i have a second choice, get a LCD tv; hopefully a Sony xbr 42-48".

Which choice would you guys pick?

I would go for the tv so when i wanna show off movies and stuff it looks EPIC and then use the old monitor in a duel monitor set up to hold side info like game stats or other stuff so well you ingame you can read a steam msg well you loading or other stuff like that or watch a movie in full screen and chat or game but its all up to you man

Sounds like you got an aight pc moniter, go with the TV.

Ps. you can get crazy good deals on moniters on black friday. 22 acer for $100 that was last year.

tv's = crappy resolution

i would go with another monitor (the same one as what you have) or a bigger monitor

If you like seeing things big, but in low resolution, get the TV. If you enjoy working at your computer for long periods of time, get a second monitor.

The resolution for the TV i want to get it 1920x1080 (1080p)

man this is a hard decision, the dual monitor set up will look cool but the TV is big. Also the monitor supports 1080p too.

ok get the tv and use the 22 inch as a SECOND monitor for closer up to put thing on it well your in game like you media player and stuff like that, thats what i did with my 17 inch for a while but now i need a new power bar no space for it lol

So long as you can push 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 go for the tv!

I use a 28.5" 1920x1200 screen as both my tv and my primary computer monitor. I also use my old monitor as the second screen (when I disable SLI). This is very useful for eGO events when you want to see who is talking in vent, where the road trip moved, etc.

edit: saw you chose the TV -- well done. It makes gaming awesome to be able to play from far away w/ a wireless xbox 360 controller on games like GTA4, Fallout 3, etc.

Oh definitely dual monitors. I just got another 22" for my dual display today.
