What's your fav. map

Black Mesa would have to be my favorite. When one game can last for three hours, you really get into i, and it becomes loads more fun XD

Tell me about it, we just finished 2 rounds and that took 4 hours - 420 points :p

Black mesa, 2fort and dustbowl.. also Gravel Pit <-- some good times in that map ;3

I know this sounds silly

but i really cannot stand to play anything other than blackmesa

the others are just too simple and slow. Mesa feels like a real fight when it's full

Well there is a ton of maps I like...but...I'm mainly on 2Fort or Blackmesa. Sometimes on other eGO servers...I can't really stand the non-eGO servers, too much profanity.

Huh, guess I should check out Black Mesa some time. Everyone seems all lusty over it. All I ever hear about it is virtually indestructible heavy-medic pairs dominating everyone, so it doesn't sound all that appealing to me. But I should probably experience it myself before passing judgment.

For my money, it's Badwater. Every class is relevant on the map, it's smartly designed from start to finish, and the intensity of the battles at the final capture area are always entertaining. Cashworks (sp?) is swiftly growing on me, though. Talk about a huge, gorgeous, nuanced map!

I have to ask now. What is it about Twofort that makes people like it? I can't stand it, myself. It's too easy to defend, if you ask me, and people just end up duking it out in the middle for eternity... or until the timer runs out, whichever comes first.

It's just a classic map. I remember playing the Quake version 10 years ago and instantly remembering the layout when I picked this game up a few months ago.

The servers often suffer from a lack of "team players," though. You often get 40% of the populace up on the battlements sniping each other for points. The times I've played with strategy-minded players, though, it's been a real blast.
