Are any of you excited as I am to play the game that scared the ever living **** outta me when i was a kid?

I've been following this mod for about a year now. I'm glad to see that it didn't fall apart like a lot of large scale mods do. I just finished re-playing Half-Life a little while ago. Now I'm going to have to do it all over again.

ya ive been following this for like 1 1/2 years now. i thought bout havin a half life game w/ the source engine built into it. i really love the new video, they really polished the teaser off & made it really look like the original half life game. what im wonderin is if theyre gonna charge us for the black mesa source game or if its gonna be free.

Yes, half life source was just a port, this is a complete remake

Its not the same, it will be the same maps as hl1, but with Source graphics

I am exited about it but I will still play the original again and again, little irritated that they are doing it, its a classic and should not be tampered with, played it when it first came out..

Its like if they remade ff7, be cool but shouldn't touch classics at all.

I sort of agree, but its not like they are calling it half life... they are calling it black mesa... in essence it should be the same game just fully updated to take advantage of source....

and, i dunno about you, but I would be quite ok if they remade FF7, would love to see a newer more polished version of that game, and also one they properly finished.

I would love to play FF7 if they remade it its just that alot of people base games on graphics (not saying you do) but some people are so bad about it they wont even play older games like the good ol 2D mario or sonic games..
