Sacramento cops seek game store robbers

As gamers, we sometimes get portrayed badly in the media, and this does not help. If you know who did it or have ANY info, please contact the authorities so these people can be stopped before something goes wrong and someone gets hurt.

!omg we need to stop them!
Call the mystery gang!
I think they should camp gamestops and wait for the robbers to show.

I am a little insulted that you are not taking it seriously. I once got held up at gunpoint and it SUCKS. Knowing your life is in the hands of someone who really does not give a dang about you is NOT something to laugh about.

What he is saying is, he does not think this pertains to eGO.

Dude thats intense. Holding up a game store with a shotgun? Id be soo scared. I hope these guys get caught soon!

The first part is laughs but the last is truth.
The police should hide in the back and bad trouble they come out and the bad guys are caught.

Yea. I work at a game retail store. It is horrible that it happend but I will put blame towards the company. They do not give sufficient hours to the store to have proper coverage. If you see the picture there is only one employee present. Just earlier this year there was a one killed at a store in the easy side. He was only 22 years old. They are under paid and are told to do more things than one could during the day. There was another incident last year in San Antonio where a female manager was found dead at the store. The messed up thing about it was she was not found till the afternoon when the closing manager came in for their shift. Putting employees at risk opening/closing alone is poor judgment of the company. Afterward the company took little to no efforts to improve security at the store, gave them extra hours only to make up for the loss of the employee. The next week they got the same low amount of hours they always received.

I know there is no way of knowing when and where it is going to happen but from first hand experience I know these big corporate companies hardly care for the grunts of the workforce. This isn't new to many of us but I felt I needed to voice my opinion about it after reading up on the post.

I understand it is not eGo but we are gamers and so it does pertain to us in that way. Plus many people frequent the forums so perhaps one will see this and have info for the police.

AKishodia, Im sorry you got held at gunpoint, I know thats no fun, its nothing

like these games, if you die you dont respawn, even a little pistol is a very

dangerous weapon, this being said, dont everythink about doing something

stupid with a real firearm, make sure to keep your guns ingame, unless

permitted, I have fired well over 250 different weapons, I have shared before

that my dad is an ex sniper for the US Army, I have been shooting with him

since I was 8, Starting mainly sitting in his lap while he shot working my way

up to using an SKS and hitting a coffee container at 300 yards. Point is guns

are powerful, and dont under estimate them, even the most trained people

make mistakes, my dad said that one time one of his friends in the army were

playing around with his handgun, thinking it was empty, because he loaded it

before he dropped the clip leaving on in the barrel The rest of the squad

including my dad told him to stop and he said that it was empty and to prove

them wrong held it to his head and pulled the trigger, killing him instantly,

Here is a video of a cop shooting himself while giving a gun safey course. -

Not to be rude, but I agree that there isnt much room for warnings about robberies on eGO.

Yes i live in Sac. and this game store robbery is a load of crap. It's just sad when you stoop that low to robbed a game store. Deadbeats hope they get what coming to them.

They should start handing the guns to the managers and ppl that work for the store.

That's really too bad. You'd think they'd have more protection than that.

I know it's not a joke, or funny, but come on, what happened to the energy swords or Lancers that these guys should be carrying?
