Just got DOD

Just got DOD:S and I was wondering if there are any basic tips I might need to know to survive/kill. Usually play in Insurgency and TF2 on eGO.

I'm gonna give you all the tips you need too know about dod in 1 post. I don't go around telling people this. So listen closely.

Whata's basic tips for DOD forward, back, left, right (w, s, a ,d) Reload (r) Change Class (,) Change team (.) Fire Mouse 1, Scope/Ironsite for K98 and M1 Mouse 2
Crouch (ctrl) Prone (z) Jump (Space) Jump + Crouch (Space+Ctrl)

Oh, that's awesome Fearless took you awhile huh lol just kidding my brother, well yeah there is imo a very tiny learning curve but it pertains to just about any game of this specific type.

And that being that you would want to get to know every map as much as possible, all the hiding spots, all the routes into and around the map, places such as chokepoints and DOD:S has tons of them, bomb placement/diffuse obj's, flag cap points and spots people set up on to overwatch them, different classes and the weapons that you use with them though you can use any other weapons diff. from the specific class you pick meaning pick up dead weapons, specific weapon handling characteristics such as recoil and load times and leading targets with heavy MG's when someone is sprinting.

All in all just playing on the server and watching some of the skilled/more experienced players gives you an idea. But my real opinion on the game is that I for ex. just play to have fun which is why I love being a part of eGO and don't worry too much if am getting killed way too much, I want to help the team win of course like anyone but i believe in making it fun and respectable for every single person. I have my fun when that happens .

Crouch when you shoot with Assault or Support, fool around with the crosshairs under Options -> Multiplayer.

A lot of people like the Red Circle crosshair which is great for both spraying with SMG, and aiming with rifles .

Since you are fairly new, I HIGHLY recommend you use easy to learn classes such as Assault and watch how others use classes like sniper (common hiding spots), etc. Observing good player's tactics is the best way to learn.

Welcome to DoD:S In the beginning, I would stick to Assault to get a hang of that gun, then slowly pick up Support and MG. Then try Rifle and Sniper, and last and least try Rocket Have fun!
