hey guys everytime i get on a map my game crashes any help?

just randomly started happening on insurgency, 8800gtx

no insurgency is the only game and i play a wide selection... every other games is fine...ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail... i am a PC tech so i know my stuff

are you using the right INS, the one off of steam not the one off of the website?

Yeah, the website one might not be up to date since INS is available through STEAM now.

first thing first need to know if the game has always done that or just started that another thing dont open the server browser in steam outside of game and load up from there some peeps have problems there... go into the game then find a server
(better be eGO.... lol) from there... next thing is make sure ur vid driver is up-to-date believe it or not every now and then this can be the problem

it just started doing it and it crashes as soon as i select my team...no idea why... i guess im going do be on DOD alot more

Well..I get that sometimes with games that have good graphics. Try restarting your computer, play another game, restart it again, and try then? Hope you fix your problem. =)

I had to redownload Steam, and Ins. It took care of the same problem I was having. Sorry I have no quick fix. But this is the only thing that worked. (I first did a clean install of Ins, but it didn't work till I did a fresh Steam install.)

Hi,

When you say your game crashes, do you mean it crashes and dumps you out to the desktop, or does it lockup in game and freeze?

any other information before it crashes? like no .dll or lost connection, or somthing dump?

Can you play Ins in single player mode, by creating a game. create battle and play in there.

Windows XP or Vista?

Papertarget might be right somtimes you have to go through the pain of unstalling and reinstalling steam...

Have you taken a look at your system event viewer? You may find some useful details in there, at least it could tell you if a driver failed.

Update your graphics and sound drivers. Try going into the advance launching options in steam for Insurgency and decrease the graphics driver level with this: -dxlevel 81
