When I get my new video card in, im gonna put my new heatsink in as well to oc my cpu. For those of you who have dual-core cpus, what was the original clock & what did u oc ur cpu 2?

oc: 3.0ghz

very simple overclock, had no problems.

I had a e6300 at 1.83ghz and got it up to 3.0ghz
Now I've got a q6600 at 2.4ghz and got it up to 3.4ghz on air cooling. I could probably get it farther but I am lazy.

I accidentally clocked mine to 4.6 GHz. It wouldn't boot, but hey, it didn't fail!

Both of these processors are cooled by Zalman CNPS9700 LED coolers.

how? i need help. I have a E8500 stock is 3.16 but i want it at 3.8. I have tried many different configs with voltages but nothing works. it would boot but then lock up couple minutes to using the computer

the trick is increase you FSB(front side bus) and test with orthos if your system is stable, if it isn't. try increasing your voltage a bit

note: keep your voltage as low as you can. Lower voltage = lower temps

Also are you using a stock cooler? if you thats a big problem. pick up a zalman or my favorite a arctic cooler 7.

ok heres an update. i got my new heatsink fan in (which was rather easy to install which i was amazed by, intel stock hsf r so tough 2 get in). anyways, what would be the clock table in order to overclock an e6750 cpu?

Pillar, I have the same proc. All i had to do with mine was increase the FSB to 415 to get mine up to 3.3ghz. You may need to up the voltage for yours but just start by setting it at something like 380 and work your way up by increasing the FBS by 10 each time. As mentioned before lower voltages = lower temps. So dont adjust the voltage until your system is unstable. or do like i did and get the max OC you can get outta your proc without touching the voltage.

P.S. In a competetion with a friend i got mine up to 3.6ghz just to beat his 3dMark06 score. It was stable i just didnt like changing the voltage.

e7200 Stock was 2.5 I believe. Overclocked to 3.6 with the Freezer 7 Pro, approx 60 degrees under full load.

That's a solid OC. Whenever I reinstall windows, or update to windows 7 I might try to push mine a bit above 3Ghz. Hoping that new bios helps me get the extra bump. What are your voltages at?
