FF ON is now FF OFF with RTV

Ladies and Gentlemen of the INS division. We have made some changes to the FF ON server. It's now a FF OFF and Gardengrove is working on the Rock the vote (RTV) set up. The RTV will let all players on this server choose the next map by voting. I'll also be working with Garden on setting up a Marine and Insurgent forum in Vent.

The reason for the switch to FF off is because of how well our 1st server is doing and to eliminate the TK'ing meatballs. Please be patient with us as we try to get the 2nd server back up into the top 5. I know a lot of people are going to state how much they liked the FF ON server. I did too and I was the one who made the call to change it. It takes a lot to keep these servers up and running and sitting at #8 did not bode to well with me. So, lets get to work and get this server up in the ranks.

e's to eGO's please dont loose sight that we have 2 servers. Spread your selves out over both servers. Together we can have World Dominance! mmuuhahaha

Yeah that's right Hammer, eGO is going to take over the world. The Americans, Chinese, Russians, they can't do anything to stop us now.

But seriously, while I'll miss having FF On, even if it does kill your standing in HLStatsX, I think RTV will really help get our servers up in standing, and hopefully we'll be able to over take NADES and those other servers.

While I love FF ON, it really doesn't work as intended in a pub server environment so I think this will be a good move and eliminate a lot of hassle for our players and admins.

Though I fully expect Wes to come up with some FF ON events.

Thank you for the RTV server. Its was so fun to play some of the maps I have been missing.

two things:

1) About the vent change: Can we please get these set up by server not by marines and ins? If we do marines and insurgents, then people will have to change each map. Since many people have a hard time with INS crashing when they alt-tab, so that seems pretty impractical.

2) RTV is very popular already. Are we going to lose 2nd place because everyone is camped out on the RTV server? Should they be switched?

Im a fan of FF off anyways :/ and as much as I love RTV. it doesn't fit INS. too many ppl change map just because they're on marine push.

Just one thing though... RTV coding hasnt been completed yet now has it? Cause i know that at the last round of each map i played, the list of maps pop up (RTV) and you get to choose from it. Now what iam wondering is if those maps that we choose are the only ones... Just pointing out that there isnt all the maps in the list of maps that we get to vote on. I think there is like 5 or 6 maps out of like 8 or 9 ins default maps.

Seems whatever server I take to is destine to be removed by the powers that be. First in TF2, now in INS.

My only hope is that a second FFoff server does worse than what we did have so we can go back.

Guess ill get my ffon (the way the game was made to be played) on some other server.

Im very sad of FF On to go away.. but im forever faithful in my leaders choice.

Although i always loved watching how cool i think i am by killing the enemy and then seeing my name explode with TK's messages.. ahahah

I like the idea of events of serious gameplay with FFon.. it only encourages working as a team.
