questions on mic

anyone know how to make a mic less noisy... cuz ppl i play w/ says that it sounds staticky

Same thing, some say that to me, but my mic is just used and really bad. Anyway, moved to tech help.

You can cover the mic with a towel/napkin and secure it with rubberband... this way it'll help screen out the higher frequencies.

Alternatively, some sound cards will allow you to equalize your mic input... which would achieve the same results.

The best solution though... is just to get a better mic.

try messing with it in the dod options menu. you can do a little fine tuning on it.

if its too loud then you can turn it down

yea because my computer get really hot i have to have a fan in my room and i have to turn it on low for it not to be statiky.

iono... i turned on the mic boost but it gets more staticky... i already have a foam cover on the mic... so ..
