Great game with lots of potential. But the updates were too slow to come out and fix the issues that the hardcore UT players wanted fixed. And don't even get me started on the really crappy support for the Linux server. Really was a shame that game died so quick. But I think that DM style of play is really dying out. I used to love to 1v1 duels, the biggest gaming rush I ever had.

I have it...but don't play it all that much...Beat the single player mode twice already. No real replay value to me..Never did try muiltiplayer. Although I heard thats where the game was at it's best.

I used to play the crap out of UT2k3 and 2k4. There was a lot of Mods and Total Conversions for the game. This new one seemed to be just eye candy.

Thats because Cliffy B said console gaming is now their main focus and they are not concerned about PC gamers at this time. He says PC gaming is in disarray

He also states in another interview that multiple pc configurations are piracy are too much of a hassle so they are not bothering to bring Gears of War 2 to pc

Mark Reins is the Epic Games Vice President not that marketing joke employee Cliffy B. He is just the Lead Designer of the company. Mind that the game is great I enjoy it but alas Cliffy isnt the one calling the shots. Consoles have their own piracy issues to deal with as well.

Yup, me too. Was big into the Zark mod with insanely high fire rates. I still have the servers around here somewhere...gotta blow the dust off of them though.....lol
