dual boot menu

i am running vista and dual booted with windows 7, i tried it out to see how it was, i formatted the partition that windows 7 was on but the dual boot menu didnt go away. any help? thanks

even though you formated the partition that win7 was in, the entry is still in yout boot.ini. I dont use vista atm so i cant check, however, I believe you can edit that by going to run & then putting in bcdedit & that is the command version for fixing it, but if youre not comfortable with doing it that way easybcd is an editor that will let you change the bootloader. Hope that helps

if you dont want to mess with the boot.ini try this
Right click on computer, select the properties, then advanced system settings, click on startup and recovery, and at the top it should say system startup. Choose the OS you want from the pulldown menu and uncheck the Display list option, hit ok and you are set. Easy way to do this if your afraid of editing system files.
