Guild Wars?

I'm actually thinking of trying this. My one friend says it's a great MMO, and since it's not monthly fees, I'm probably going to try it.

Its a great game, and the expansions are pretty cheap now. I'd suggest getting Factions, then Prophecy, then Nightfall, then the most expensive EotN

Factions has the most pvp action, Prophecy and NF both have a lot of useful gear and spells. EotN is more focused only on the PvE part of the game.

well no offense geno, but it really depends on what that person wants 2 do. i personally think that proph is a great starter game (esp since hes never played it b4) so i would def suggest gettin guild wars goty edition for $20 new (or less if possible) & then go for the exp packs.

I agree,but if he wants to pvp later when he's more experienced, factions is really helpful, 1/2 maybe more of the games pvp is In factions now. Most guilds rvolve around farming Luzon and kurIck faction points(factions pvp group).

I never said he had to do anything that's just wHat I reccommend

No get the Trilogy for 40 bucks has all the games Proph, Factions, Nightfall...everything but EOTN

I have Guild Wars. I enjoyed the game, but no one played that I knew until I came to eGO and noticed this thread. I'm installing the game as we speak. Anyone want to help a newbie? I think I got to level 5 or 6. I've been playing Archlord which is a MMORPG. I needed to take a break from FPS. =)

Um, I accidentally am getting Guild Wars/Eye of the North as well. I only ordered Guild Wars, but it says Eye of the North on my receipt lol. Got 5 PC games for less then $100 today lol.

so what cuteness? ive spoken w/ some eGO members (talked w/ Imoddedu earlier 2nite) & he says that hes a hardcore PVP player, so just cause u do/did PVP dont mean anything. GET IN W/ US!!
