Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Psychonauts, Halo 1-3, Quest for Glory 1-5, Curse of Monkey Island, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Mass Effect and Republic Commando.

(games I really like are defined as those I go back to play through the main story mode a second time)

i loved morrowind elder scrolls three for the xbox... i cant even guess at how many hours i spent playing

Might have to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I've spent more hours in that game than any other, I'd have to say. And I've only ever completed the storyline once. I can hardly fathom just how much stuff there is to do in that game, how many options there are.

Edit: It might also be one of the Pokemon games. I met my fiance because of Pokemon, online.
