Does anyone else play? add me my name is xplag on US EAST.

Oh, and if there are enough people, can we get this stickied by chance?

i wanna try it out, i hear it fun but community is awful...but with eGO members it sould be fun :D

Peter, you're absolutely right, the community is... at best uncultured. I'd be willing to play on US WEST, my internet shouldn't have a problem.

Oh, and Cash Flow, you should find a FT cd, I don't think RoC doesn't support DoTA.

In vent last night, in fact, my brother Puddinpop and one of our friends were getting a LAN set up for it... I will alert my brother about this thread and have him post some ideas... We play Warcraft 3 all the time when we are together.

I play WC3 a lot, I don't play dota anymore, but I might start again

To any one new to DOTA, this right here is an understatement. I've played dozens of games, but DOTA is the most anti-noob friendly community you'll ever meet. You can't download the game through WC3 just because 99.9% of the people hosting it kick/ban DLers on sight, but if you stick with it and get the game DLed it'll get better.

Can anyone tell me what a good strategy is? Im playing DOTA Allstars and Im stuck between the sniper and the Syllabear guy. I want someone with range and strength. Who should I choose?

And here's the n00b question. what is DOTA? (yes i know, i should prolbably know, but i dont, sorry)

"dota" stands for "defense of the ancients" and it is a custom warcraft 3 map that has become highly popular among wc3 players in the last few years.... if you want to get the map the oficial site is getdota.com you can download the map from there and play :)

if you want a better community to play with then the battlenet people.. dotaleague.com is a good way to go.. also a favorite among many people is the Garena program that offers online playbility for quite a few games... check garena.com :)

i hope i answered your question right :D
