I got inspiration while sitting in history class. We were watching a video about the trenches of WWI when the idea of creating a map came to me. So for the next few classes, I jotted down some ideas until it became my map idea as a whole.
Cp_Trench is a map geared towards trench warfare, as the name suggests. Each team has their own "base" protected by trenches and various pillboxes. The design varies between the Red and Blu teams. There is also a No-Man's-Land in the middle as well, which completes the WWI feeling.
In CTF, the teams must collect the intel from bunkerish buildings situated in the middle of each teams' defense line. Barely noticeable is a crack in the wall where players can crawl through and get the intel.
In CP mode, there are 5 points that the teams must capture. There is one at each "base" and "bunker". The middle point is actually out in NML, like in a cottage or a crashed plane or tank.
So far, I haven't gotten far. Although I'm ok with using brushes, what is getting me is loading up models and such. I would also like help for placing entities, as I have no idea whatsoever how to do it.
Your help is appreciated.
I will have screenies up, as soon as i can get comfortable with using Hammer.
