Spray help (INS)

I need help! I saved a spray I had made as JPEG and then when I go to load it as my in-game spray it says error.

File size checks in ok.
File type checks in ok.

...help.

For source games, you are not allowed to use other formats such as jpegs ingame, it has to be .vtf I think .tga will also work but im not sure.

Yeah, save it as either a tga, or use a free program like VTFEdit (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=178#p178) to turn it into a VTF file. If you use vtf edit, however, make sure that when you are importing the image, uncheck all the boxes on the window titled VTF Options. Otherwise you will have normal maps, mip maps, all that stuff thats unnecessary for a simple spray image. Good luck!

There are several programs out. off hand i cant remember them. If you cant find anything post me and ill send you a few links..

If you use photoshop, don't bother downloading vtf plugins and programs just save it as a Targa (.tga) and import it
