Well i wanted to know statistically is the M4A1 Carbine more accurate than the AK47? It seems to be that with the silencer on the M4A1 i seem to be able to get more head shots than with the AK47. Is it all a mental thing, or is there something in the game coding that exchanges power for accuracy? This factor is usually what sways my decision to go CT or T. If there is no Krieg, then there is no accurate T assault rifle. Thanks in advance for the input.
 
I haven't play CS In long time but as Far as I remember it is how you shoot the weapon.
The AK47 Had more recoil and you had to make your burst shorter and wait longer to shoot again.
Like: ta ta ta.... ta ta ta.... and the M4A1 would be: ta ta... ta ta... ta ta and this will be from long distance.
Close range is just spray and pray not really matter.
Also Silencer cuts % of recoil and % of Damage. Silencer if you are far away and don't want to be noticed and NO silencer at close range. At least that is what i did when I used play CS.

the AK is 100% accurate with the first shot if I remember Basic Training right, and then it recoils up. and the M4 is accurate in short bursts, Long range with Silencer, short without.
Dont quote me on this, I'd check with Oldie, or V or someone with more letters than I in their tag =P

What Is Weapon Spray
Weapon spray is a term used for when you fire repeated rounds from a gun & spray fire in a direction. By holding down the fire button and aiming straight the recoil from the weapon produces a spray of fire which hits around the target or cross hair in this case. The more recoil on a weapon the more spray is produced and this is where I come in... Unknown to many, CSS has built in spray patterns for every weapon and it's key to know the patterns if you are to take advanage of this. Note the following patterns are produced from a static firing position and when moving will change.

You can clearly see the M4a1 has 2 main patterns a 'T' shaped pattern & a 'P' pattern that sometimes is reversed

AK47
The AK47 seems to have the same basic spray pattern every time, the first 3 rounds hit almost spot on target but after that the weapon recoil kicks in and forces the fire upwards where the remain shots hit in a large area.

Is the m4 more powerful without the silencer?

No.

the colt is the most versatile weapon
in the game the recoil is fairly easy
to control and the damage is quite high

i often spray on short to mid range

a question i get allot is if i use the silencer.
it depends entirely on the situation
if you are hiding in a spot its a good idea to use it

its also a good idea if you're in smoke

So, in summary, the reasons to use the silencer are to remain silent and to cover the blast after each shot.

Yes. The AK is a more powerful weapon, but is statistically less accurate. However, this is not to say you can't adjust your spray to make your target.

The m4 is less powerful, but has a statistically more accurate spray whether silenced or unsilenced. Again, you can adjust your spray to make your target.

SO, which gun is better to use?
Most of the pros prefer the AK, because, like he said, the first shot is 100% accurate. However, if you can learn to control your spray, it really doesn't matter which gun you use.

I still prefer the AK to this day.

NOTE: IF YOU NOTICE, THE M4 HAS 3/4 CONSISTENT SPRAY PATTERNS, WHEREAS THE AK HAS ALL 4 SPRAY PATTERNS IDENTICAL. THUS, ANOTHER REASON TO USE THE AK...IT IS MORE PREDICTABLE.
 
Regardless of spray patterns and statistics, if the gun doesn't feel right to you you can't do much with it. Someone who thinks an UMP feels perfect will do better with it than an M4 if he doesn't like the M4. I prefer the AK over the M4 because it yields a quicker kill for me, an M4 may take up to 2 shots to the head for a kill whereas the AK is always 1 shot kill.

But then... Para pwns both.
 
I've always preferred the AK, simply because the power and accuracy of the first 1-2 shots is so overwhelmingly good!

The preference for me with the m4 is unsilenced, but I think the famas is the better ct weapon. The famas can kill in 1-2 shots to the head and is very accurate. One burst headside will be death.

Note: If you notice, the m4 has 3/4 consistent spray patterns, whereas the ak has all 4 spray patterns identical. Thus, another reason to use the ak...it is more predictable.

the way i see it is that the AK kills you with one shot in the head whereas the m4 does not

the way i prefer to aim is aim at the head for anything other than very short range

maybe i just need to change my aiming style because when i play CT i have so many of those 90 dmg headshots but no kill to show for it so naturally i am biased towards the AK

silencer does nothing except silence and remove the flash from firing....the only reason why people think its more accurate is ebcause since it slows down rate of fire, ure spray isnt as bad.....ak47 is not ment for spraying rather its for burts...i like both guns but i rely on the ak47 to do the job when i am surrounded
 
Okay, firstly, nobody should spray weapons unless you have an SMG (and even then...)

Quite frankly, if you aim properly, there is absolutely no reason to go ak over m4 or vice versa. It's a matter of hitting the guy head-on vs. hitting him in the neck and letting the recoil kill him with the second shot of the burst.

As a friend told me when I was starting out, "If you die to someone who's spraying, then you're not aiming properly."

Edit: I should note that I'm going sg552 (as T) and m4 (as CT) is solely for FBG; I don't need to use the ak anymore...
 
i think the AK is a little better because its a faster kill, but its really what the user can do better with.
 
the type of gun doesnt really matter in css. like xplag said, it just depends on whether the player feels comfortable using the gun. as long as a player uses good tactics, then they will be able to kill anyone with any gun. for example: use hearing for steps, flashbangs, hiding spots, and ninja tactics to get easy kills. especially if your in the eGO servers. if you buy the skill contract, you get money for hitting the opposing team players. use this to your advantage so that if you shoot at doors in long a, mid doors, etc. and get approx. $20-$70, then you know someone is behind those spots and you can own them quickly
