Haha. Thanks guys. I think tiddy put it best in IRC today: "+1 Age , -10 Confidence, +1 waistline, -5 Dignity."

I want to add -10 agility, +1 Awesome, and +10 The Man, to his list.
Droid, ironically enough, I was talking with my parents about that last night.
And of course, thanks most of all to Para for starting the most awesomest thread I've seen all day.
Curiously enough, while I doubt I ever told her, Sing, Sing, Sing, is one of my all time favorite Jazz numbers and plays a significant role in the history of Jazz. In the mid 30's Benny Goodman and his band were on a tour. Their manager had told them to play mostly mild/slow jazz songs (think stuff like old Ella Fitzgerald or Louis Armstrong) throughout the tour, and the crowd really didn't seem to be that entertained. So, at their last show at the Palomar theatre in LA, Benny Goodman basically said something a long the lines of "To hell with it. We may as well go down in style." So they launched into "Sing, Sing, Sing", a much more upbeat tune than what was commonly played in those days, and it was a hit. People were dancing in the aisles, singing out loud, and generally having a great time. The song was a hit, and thus was born the new era of "Hot Jazz".
OK, that's enough for today's history lesson. And if my college History of Jazz professor somehow ever sees this post, all I have to say is "See! I really did pay attention!"
Thanks again for the birthday wishes.
