There is some confusion on the proper steps to take if you happen to come across a person using or you think is using hacks.
If you come across a person using an obvious hack like "speed hacking" where the person is moving twice as fast as everyone else, record a demo.
Now for all other types of hacks; wallhacks, aimbots, jerky crosshairs, etc. These will require Leadership approval. Take a demo, email demo to [email protected] DO NOT BAN, DO NOT WARN OR KICK! Just keep playing and submit a ban request and wait for Leaderships response.
When you submit your ban to the above stated email address, please indicate that it's an INS demo. This will help us depict our demos to all others.

Ok guys, so suppose your in game, and you see something spectacular; something either you can't believe like a person taking impossible shots, or having superhuman speed. Or just suppose you want to record how awesome your awesomeness is in Insurgency.
First you must have your console enabled. If you do not know how to, refer to the Index below. Now that you have your console open (remember open it with tilde ~) you just type "record <demoname>" (name being whichever name you want to use). Suppose I want to record the =(eG)= vs =(eGO)= scrim then I would do it like this "record match". If it is successful you should see the console type something like this "
Recording to match.dem..." You can use a variety of names that you like. It is up to you, I recommend using unique names for each demo; case being if you record many of them you might not be able to distinguish among them.
Ok now that you have started recording your demo, you just play as normal; and until you are satisfied. When you are done playing or you want to stop recording; you just use this simple command. Open up your console and in it type "stop". This will stop your demo and it will be automatically be saved for you. If you are succesful in stopping your demo, the console should read something similar to "Completed demo, recording time 49.2, game frames 1152." It changes depending on the size of your demo. It also automatically saves in your main insurgency folder. Now to playback your demo...
Once you are done recording and saved it successfully you can watch your demo in the Insurgency game. It is very easy, to watch the demo you just open your console again. And type in console "playdemo <demoname> and it should automatically start playing it for you. Its like a magic charm. Refer below if you want to know how to be able to record movies."
I use the Shift F2 method when i'm sitting at the main menu for INS. This will open up the playback viewer and allows me to control the speed of the demo.

- eG's - kick, post a ban request and send the demo to: [email protected]
- eGO's - ban on site and submit the demo to: [email protected]

How to Record a Demo
Ok guys, so suppose your in game, and you see something spectacular; something either you can't believe like a person taking impossible shots, or having superhuman speed. Or just suppose you want to record how awesome your awesomeness is in Insurgency.
Step 1 Start
First you must have your console enabled. If you do not know how to, refer to the Index below. Step 2 Stop
Ok now that you have started recording your demo, you just play as normal; and until you are satisfied. When you are done playing or you want to stop recording; you just use this simple command. Open up your console and in it type "stop". This will stop your demo and it will be automatically be saved for you. It also automatically saves in your main insurgency folder. Now to playback your demo...
Step 3 Watch
Once you are done recording and saved it successfully you can watch your demo in the Insurgency game. It is very easy, to watch the demo you just open your console again. And type in console "playdemo <demoname> and it should automatically start playing it for you. Its like a magic charm. Refer below if you want to know how to be able to record movies."
