Hacked/Phished accounts, eGO, and you

i always click then to see if they're a fail. ill click home and it says 404 not found. But when i do i worry that when i click the link they track the IP (probably do) or track the chat log and find my id and pass.

ive been hacked before . trust me , its no fun. the people claimed they were valve and i had to buy css all over . they took $60 worth of games all because of my stupidity xD
 
Well you see, Have your contact email Verified, And You'll be fine.

No one can Change any of your info that way!

Because someone has tried to steal mine, But all i had to do was change password.

So it was all good.
 
I got my account hacked before because of a link.... I couldn't get it recovered. But I had 2 more accounts so it didn't matter.
 
Sigh..

Just received an account hack attempt about 30 min ago when I decided to remote-control(Rcon) my PC from school. The chat request showed that his name was " I am legend 1.6" and changed to Free Games when I decided to accept the chat. Upon looking thru the links in the list, erasing some parts of the URL, and how the FAKE steam pages said "Free for a limited time" I immediately closed the chat and told all my riends at school so they don't get hacked by the same person/bot/thing.

being hacked is a horrible thing. I have been hacked before on other games and it's not fun...
 
I can tell why mudkip falled for them :p
jk lol
but yea I don't feel safe adding random people, Cause who knows when You would click the link when you're so bored and just type in your login info and the next thing You know, No cs:s for 2 days :(
