Hi guys

As of now the new scrim/event server will be

2FORT 72.232.197.28 :27015

Next event scheduled is:

Friday 23rd January

Midnight Madness

2FORT 72.232.197.28 :27015

Be there or be sad :D

We moved it because Cashworks has developed a following. Kinda like Blackmesa did.. This time, we caught it a lot earlier. There's two 2fort servers, so we aren't taking away a map for an hour... Plus, the bonus is that 2fort always fills up extremely fast... =O

yeah like Deja said, its a great way to share the love and be practical at the same time :)

2Fort has a very different playstyle than 2Fort IR, and each one has its own community. 2Fort IR stays full all the time, so our 2Fort regulars won't be able to just go to the other server, not all of them anyway, and I can't say they will necessarily want to. I have already been contacted by one of the regulars from our 2Fort server, wondering why the server was locked and playing another map yesterday when he wanted to play. I explained the situation to him, but he was displeased with it.

It is essential to the health of our servers to build a community, but I wonder if we aren't sacrificing the 2Fort regular community in order to try to help the Cashworks server. Yes, 2Fort seeds pretty well, but I am not sure about later at night, which is when some of our events are held. Also, who is to say that these people won't simply find a 2Fort server which isn't going to kick them out several times a week?

It took me awhile to find our 2Fort server in the first place, and I have to wonder if I would have continued playing, and eventually joined eGO, if I were to be kicked from the server for these events.

Perhaps we should simply alternate which server we have our scrims on, so no single community has to bear the brunt of the blow? Or maybe we could have a few public events, which won't require kicking people out of our servers?

I'm not sure if public events for every events would be a really good idea, but a rotation of the servers for each events would be nice ( cashwork : monday madness, blackmesa: eGO Hour, etc....)

just my opinion though...

I agree with this.
