failure to start ventrilo

whenever i want to start Vent this pop up pop's and in it says: Failed to create directory'C:/Users/Halld?r/Appdata/Roaming/Ventrilo'. program aborting.
i have checked the threads and there doesnt seem to be anyone having this problem but if you have an answer i would really appreciate it

from the directory structure, you're using vista; try running ventrillo as an administrator, it may be having an issue creating the directory without admin permissions.

I could be because you are using a special character in your username.

Try to actually create that directory manually by going there, right clicking, and creating a new folder.
