Conqueror banned on clan Lotus Servers

Hello everybody, some of you know me and others have played against me on Goldrush, Warpath. Just thought I like to post something interesting that's happening to me right now.

I've been banned from the clan Lotus' servers. Accused of hacking while playing sniper. :)

To view it, load TF2 and in console type "playdemo conquerer".

I've already reply my rebuttal on the matter and hope I get unbanned.
This is the first time being banned from any server.

I've played with you guys on your servers awhile now and you guys know I don't hack.

Just wanted to let off some steam I guess, and let you guys know. Just looking for some moral support i guess, since it does hurt my feelings being accused of hacking and being banned too.

Thats horrible! I hate when hackers don't get banned, but even more i hate when ppl are banned and accused of hacking.

Show them this video. That is proof enogh of the lag of tf2. A couple times a shot in the back registers as a headshot. IT looks like a headshot on jh/blood's screen but on demos it's lag. Also, eagle seems to be pulling crap out of the south side in order to get you banned.

Although i've never played with you i hope you get unbanned. And even if you don't, you have ego server to play on, right?

Oh and, lotus fakes player numbers.... :S.
 
why should they think an eGO member was hacking
everyone knows we dont hack :)
 
Wow, I'm completely surprised you got banned. I guess whoever banned you from doesn't understand that what's recorded in a demo isn't exactly where you're aiming.

I'm definately not going to play on their servers if you can get banned for legit gameplay. Not that I actually play on other servers (eGO ftw!) but you get the idea. >.>

I'll answer one of your questions from the Lotus clan forums.

This is a byproduct of the demo itself, it doesn't record the game in 100% accuracy. So a player's location on the map, and the direction you're aiming is sometimes not completely accurate. This effect leads to the "he wasn't aiming at them, but it killed them" situation.

Hopefully you'll be able to inform them of this and the previous posted videos can help you out!

I got kicked form thous servers for domating clocked spys when I trying to shoot the people two steps behind them and was warned..Even thou the spys said it was there falt for being there in the first place..So thats why I only play on EGO servers we atleast give people time to explain whats going on before kicking them or thats been my experice>.<
 
That sucks man. I hope it gets worked out and you get unbanned.

If not, you can always play on our servers. ;)



As an addendum to what I just said, I've played on several servers where the my ping is around 100ms, and I've noticed on several occasions that a sniper would pick me off while I was hidden. Initially I though "HACKER!!!" so I decided to spec them.

What I learned was that he was missing shots more than he was hitting them. I just happened to have high enough latency that he actually hit me, but I didn't get it until after I was already hidden.

That's my 2 cents. Not all good snipers are hackers.

I haven't taken time to read all of the posts from our members here yet - so I'll go ahead and put this out.

Don't say other people have bad servers, bad admins, blah blah on eGO forums. We aren't going to spread hate just because a valued PUB of eGO got banned. Lotus actually runs good servers. Matter fact, I'd put them right up there with eGO.

Sorry to here you got banned Conq. I'm going to review the demo here soon just for kicks. I enjoy looking at demo's. I don't think you hack at all, and it's good fun sniping against you. I guess getting banned from Lotus servers only gives you more time to play on ours. Good luck contesting the ban. I'll put my opinions in after I watch the demo.
 
Maybe you should take it as a sign Conqueror that a player of your skill isnt welcome there and just play with us from now on. We also do not ban outright for hax, you have to present a demo and after it is reviewed if the player is deemed to be using a hack they are banned.

No single admin unless its an advisor level or above is allowed to ban someone suspected for hax and then they have to be actively disrupting the server for it to be justified ie: all the pubs complaining about said player.

Everyone has their day in court here, and ive played against you quite often. Your an excellent sniper but I can make you miss, and I can go toe to toe with you as well (as soldier I hunt snipers). Im sure they will unban you, but if not you always got a place to play in eGO servers.
 
I'm not going to trash talk here, but that's absurd.

Their servers were already on my "do not join" list though. They were one of the first major server groups to use both fake players AND redirects. Add that to reserved slots and being kicked for a reserved slot...

On that note I've decided to officially become a full fledged EGO member. Will make my official request to join in TF2 recruiting forum, by today's end

I takes a lot for me to join any clan, have to make sure I like the group of players and that they don't take things so seriously, and play to have fun.

Well I hope to see you guys wearing my =e= tag in game soon.

Jeez its about time you applied to join us. Don't forget we have tf2 events every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Hope to see you at them :)

Oh and i hope the lotus clan figures out that you don't hack.

I used to play on some of Lotus' servers when I first got TF2. I've never had a problem with them. I'm surprised that they did something like this.

I hope you're unbanned. =(

Welcome to eGO, Conqueror. The circumstances are sad, but I'm glad to see you here all the same. I wish it was easier for people to weed out the false positives. Seems like snipers get the treatment a lot more, too. I think that the best snipers seem "untouchable" to everyone else on the opposing team. If there weren't any insanely good snipers, though... there'd be fewer reasons to buy powerful rigs from Uberclok and VelocityMicro or gaming routers from D-Link. So go get to work being clean, respectful, and frustrating as hell -- we have hardware to advertise. ;)
