For anyone who's good at sniping i'd like some feedback on your sniping style. I find the sniper and rifle are the hardest to master.

Tips or advice on zooming (Taking out mgs or other snipers), location points or anything to do with sniping would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering if something like this would come up...
I wouldn't call myself and an expert, but I'm a pretty good sniper. I love sniping on Kalt (and other various maps), and always zoom, kill, reposition. Unless you have amazing hearing, have some one cover your rear if you're in a sniper house or somewhere like that. Taking out MGs is hard sometimes...first, I use a distraction...sacrifice works:p. While they're shooting somewhere else you shoot them. If you can time it right, get them while they're reloading. Taking out other snipers...not that hard...you just have to shoot first...don't come from somewhere predictable because that's where they will be aiming. Rockets are also a problem if not dealt with quickly. While they're trying to aim or mount, kill them quickly and if they do get a shot off, duck or run for cover.
When you are sniping, THE LAST THING YOU SHOULD DO is stay somewhere predictable. You will be killed/wounded 9 times out of 10. Hide in a bush or somewhere you can be concealed. You can get away with using a predictable spot (a sniper house for example) if you're good.
Make sure you kill them in one shot, meaning hit them in the torso or head if possible. If you fail to do so, reposition and kill faster. When aiming at moving target be quick about it, because you might be the one dying, not your target.

Hope this helps,

If you are trying to hit a moving target...Lead your target. thats all i got for now

tsch...rofflewoffle is a noob. :D

ill tell you how to snipe
there are two basic ways to snipe-
scope, come around the corner slowly, fire when you see someone, get back behind cover, repeat.

two- sprint out, scope, shoot, sprint back

you can improv more the better you get

the first method is more standard, and depends a lot on reflexes and your trigger finger speed
the second method is less widely used, but if you play for a while eventually youll get it
it relies more on knowing the map, where people will be, remembering the location of people you see when you run out, and just scoping and shooting as quick as you can

the thing you should remember most is that sniping takes a lot of practice to become good at. i would recommend camping more at first, then practicing moving closer to the front lines the better you get.

find out where ur enemy is then slowly move take ur shoot then quickly move out of sight

if your looking out a window...dont show your whole body...only show what allows you to see...same with doors...

also...if your facing another sniper or mg in a spot...you take a shot and miss...and they know your there...i would find a new spot..dont go peeking back out...theyll know your coming...

as for actual techniques...press double q after you take your shot....instead of waiting to put in another bullet....

and one more thing...don't rush...you will die most of the time...if you do rush or move up..make sure there is no way anyone else is around...or a lot of your team is behind/ahead of you...keep aware of the respawns of people as well...if you know someone died say 20 secs. ago...he or she will be coming...so...keep an eye out on that...I could tell you a lot more...nothing I can remember right now though...

lol.. Yeah, If Duality is sniping, the best technique for staying alive is pressing , and selecting a different class.

Also, I like the run around the corner pull the trigger run back.. it requires fast reflexes and u will miss alot until you get good, but until then just keep trying

When you see an enemy running, can you keep your crosshair over their body as they move?

Personally I don't use the come around the corner slowly, I usually get those snipers off the bat. I use a peek-a-boo style sniping. Whatever works for other people I guess. When you get better, you'll even get confident enough to run around with a sniper/rifle and just fire off shots without the need to use the crosshair.

If im such a noob, why do i dominate you WITH the sniper so much? eh?

and also, going out into the feild without knwoing whats there is a stupid move. an enemy sniper, or an mg will most likely kill you.
listen to me! i used proper grammar!

Aim. Click. Dead.

dead on on this one (no pun intended?)

I would just say get to know the map. For me the most useful thing is to know exactly where the edge of the window is before i turn the corner for example, so i dont waste time trying to find it after scoping.

I would say know the map. Be extremely patient, dont snipe in a spot where the enemy has more than two ways to get to you, and have at least two spots to practice at, because you will not always be able to snipe from the same place depending on your teams' performance.

Also, on a side note, lets say you see a guy with a thompson running. Dont take the shot before you are ready. Follow him until you are confortable that you will hit him. You make the shot too early, you are more likely to miss. All depends on how quick of a spotter you are.

Oh yeah, and the k98 is better :P

I use a little dry erase mark in middle of my screen so when i take aim its pretty close around them to hit a few other players i know use and like this idea
