Right now im on my dads laptop & the os is Vista Home Premium. For those of you who do use this same os, can you tell me how to remove an additional account that is passworded & cant get into because we dont know the password??

oh yes, & thats the interesting thing. i thought bout that @ 1st, so i went into user accounts & tried 2 check it there, & it wasnt there (which i found odd). usually additional accounts will be placed under admin (which is main) account access, but its not there @ all. thats the whole reason of creating this thread.

Try these steps,

1, boot into safe mode (press F8 before windows starts),

2, log onto the account "administrator"

3, go into control panal and remove password from user account settings

Perfect that Sums it up

nevermind, i will admit, i didnt know how 2 do it in vista. actually i missed a step last time. i didnt see where it said to manage another account (that was the kicker). so i went into there & thats where i could change all the info i needed, so the other account w/ the password is both removed & deleted, so now all there is is the main account (admin) & a guest account (if desired). man what a noob i am when it comes 2 vista, still learning it, geez.
