Ipod? Touch!

Hey just wondering man what would you guys do if i managed or found an ipod touch/ (Upgraded it to like 60g) and put a sweet graphics card on it and put freaking cs:s or sumthing on it.
What do you thing it was be like playing it?.....

A touch based, accelerometer controlled CSS? It'd be really difficult for sure... There's a few FPS apps for the ipod touch. Not very good though.

It would just be awful IMO. How would it know whether you are wanting to move forward vs aiming? Also, I dont think a graphics card would fit in there without it being the size of a Sega Gamegear and getting hotter than an easy bake oven (double retro-reference word score!) Really any shooter would be a pain in the butt to play with a single input device. Would not buy it, honestly. You'd be better off modding a PSP or something to play this.

Fox your totally right about this one. It is hard playing on a shooter game. First of all the controls to move,jump, shoot and change weapons are the corners. Second the sensitivity on the games would probably be hard to control. Also Apple has made a game for the itouch and it has the graphics of the psp on there.

I've played BIA on the iTouch...in singleplayer. Multiplayer would be a bit weird. Very hard, not a good idea imho.

I wouldn't really do anything. I think your kinda crazy that you would do all of that to a perfectly fine Ipod touch. Just by putting counter strike on it and a new graphics card does not mean you can run it. If CSS can't run on a mac (Can it?) then it can't run on an ipod. Do itouch's even have an operating system compatible with such games?

I don't think he's crazy. I just think that he didn't think about it realistically.
Counter Strike would be more plausible being played on PSP. But even then it wouldn't be as great.

I have Doom for my touch, I really need to remove it.
It's useless, your constantly moving forward, you touch a gun button to shoot, and touch a arrow (left or right) to move left or right. Thats all.

CS:S would be impossible, let alone attatching a graphics card?

Why is this being discussed? This seems rediculously absurd? I'm sorry but how does it make any sense?

1. Buy iPod touch
2. Attach graphics card? Why and how? Why have a phone and just have a huge ass handheld console?
3. No software support
4. no handling
5. inferior and impossible controls
6. obviously not enough processing/memory capability
7-infinity- it doesn't make sense at all.

Correct... unfortunately STEAM hates us with Macs... Also, your graphics card would need to have a full Windows OS to run Steam. This would make it bulky...

IMO, the contraption would have horrid game play and being able to see your enemy would be hard and you wouldnt be able to see anyone at a long distance (unless you have a scoped weapon). Not worth the money/time/effort.
