AVG is CRAP. I ran into the same problem as you using AVG. I'm using Avira at the moment with Ad-aware/Spybot combo and I haven't had any issues in a year or more. Good luck.

I've never had a virus using any program, whether it be norton, McAfee or AVG.

AVG works the best with my system though, McAfee killed my startup time when I installed.
