Improving my game.

Hey i know i play a lot of INS but im trying to get back into CS, about one and a half years ago i ust to play CZ all the time and played in OGL and CAL. So any of y'all got tips for me to improve my game, maybe some of you guys have seen me play in the server ahaha. I really enjoy the Dust2 and Jail server(s).

For jail i would get say dont ever go too near the T's where ever you may be unless you have a para cause if 5 come out 30 bullets of M4 arent enough and the reload time is too slow unless you are a great shot but the shock may take you

But yeah just give orders, and have fun, yesterday you seemed really at ease and giving orders, everyone followed except for the odd rebeler (nightmare although she wasnt there last night) And just be clear as well, and state warning was already given, or being in vents you will be killed and no one got a reason to shout "freekill" But do warn them if they come to close like in the one with the big armory, warden's office and the pool/vent cant remember the names, or again state that the warning has already been giving and kill 'em, also some people may try to get behind you there when you look at someone else be careful

I've been thinking about making an epic post about all the techniques and methods I use. I haven't because i think it'd get lost in the forums too quickly and that i don't know how useful it would be, anyway.

If you want to get better at CS:S, don't play Jail. Jail isn't ACTUAL CS:S, but rather an RPG mod. Unless that is what you want to get good at...

Everyone always suggests GunGame or Deathmatch or so and so, but I think just playing in a regular server will help you get better. I haven't seen you play so I can't really judge what you need to fix, but lots of play, burst firing, and aiming for the head generally helps everyone so there you have it.

Well, actually you don't really need to aim for the head. I've seen people shoot at feet point blank range and get headshots. You shouldn't spray, fire in 3 or 2 round bursts, unless up close. Play in the Dust2 to get better at sniping and Office for AK, M4A1, and all the rest.

aha, i was thinking reduce my mouse sensitivity to 2.0 and playing more Dust2 even though my favorite CAL maps are de_nuke and de_cpl_mill but thanks for the replies

here is the best tip you can ever get.

If you are playing on T... shoot a guy on CT. If you shoot him enough he will die, and you will not die.

Here is another one. When behind the opposite side, get in pursuit of somebody then knife them in the back.

sound is your friend, use it wisely and it will more than come in handy

This is the best piece of advice I have ever received for CSS. A 1.6 CAL-I player gave me these words of advice. "If you want to get better at CSS, play 1.6."

Also, play with low sensitivity. I play at .85 for CSS and .2 for 1.6. It will take some time to get used to. Drop it a couple of notches every day or so. You should be able to do a 270 with a rather large flick of the wrist(3-4 inches for movement).
