Alright guys here is a list of games that will positively not work on any windows 7 computer. Please dont post other games unless you are positive that the game will work on NO windows 7 computer, and not just yours. This thread is to educate people on games that have no chance of working so you all are not wasting your time.

If it says retail version, that means the digital download version (i.e. steam, direct 2 drive) should work fine.

1. S.t.a.l.k.e.r. Clear Sky (retail version)
2. X3 Terran Conflict (retail version)
3. Silent Storm
4. Silent Storm : Sentinels
5. Act of War : Direct Action
6. Act of War : High Treason

Numbers 1 and 2 will not work because the disk security, Tages, does not have windows 7 supported drivers (as of Feb 1, 2009).

Numbers 3 and 4 will not work if you have 4 or more gigs of RAM in your machine. What you need to do is go to msconfig, then the boot tab, advanced options, and force the computer to only use less than 4 gigs of memory.

Numbers 5 and 6 have no solutions nor a reason as to why they dont function :s

i got tired of Windows 7 after 30 days its fast but not fast enough it still needs to be as fast as XP for it to blow Vista out of the Water and two more games that dont work evin though they had new drivers for windows 7

This thread is kinda pointless imo, windows 7 is still in a BETA fase, wich means some games don't work right now but they could work on the final release. Or the game developers release a fix wich makes it able to run on windows 7, like alot of them did for Vista.

not sure how accurate the second link is. I see neither clear sky nor X3 on there for not working games when they should be. and half of those semi working games work perfect on my computer.

Anyway this is not a thread of working games as there are plenty.

right but the beta will last until august from what ive heard, so just keeping people updated so they dont have to waste their time trying to get a game to work when theres no chance of doing so.

KOTOR 1 & 2

still Dont Work.

people have gotten KOTOR to work on win7 by uninstalling the win7 video drivers and installing the vista video drivers, so these two stay off the list for now.

alright i have no way to test BA so unless someone can confirm this its not goin up there.

Act of War : Direct Action and Act of War : High Treason are however. Been fooling with it for quite a while now and nothing works. dont waste your time on act of war.

well we'll see how 7 ends up when the full version is released...but anything is better than Vista it sucks like half my RAM just to run a bad OS...crazy and i think the beta is only available for like 2 more weeks if any1 wants to try it
