Pretty much because the memory on my dead 8500 GT is from samsung. and i think most of the memory is from samsung , i might be wrong.

Too bad motherboards (regular ones we use, not server motherboards) even support 32GB RAM.

Ram keeps coming out and Motherboards Manufactures can't catch up with them.
Not playing their mouse and cat game no more. Wait and see what they do with that ram,another Upgrade yes but what board will you use? Not even out there yet,and if there is it would be a server board for sure.
We gamers no need to worry about this for a while... I hope.
