Sell me on DoD!

I'm a TF2 fan who finds myself occasionally playing Left4Dead and Counterstrike. I've come to enjoy FPS games, and it's all eGO's fault. I'm a one-player platformer type of guy, and having sampled of other servers, if it wasn't for the pros around here I simply wouldn't have stuck.

But now I'm looking into branching into other games. I'm stuck between investing in Call of Duty or Day of Defeat.

Here's where you guys come in. Obviously you guys think DoD is the most fun thing to play... so sell it!

What do you guys like so much about DoD that you keep coming back?
 
Let's see.. more guns... more bullets.. ton of shooting. (;

Well honestly, I find it to be a stress reliever and nonetheless fun with the people filled in them! Ahaha, especially Kalt<3 Love themm

Imo it's more relaxing and it's cheaper than CoD4 :D Also, the DoD:S guys are much cooler than CoD4 :P
 
you wont have random air strikes, it takes more skill (not a matter of opinion, fact. :p), and it is also more fun. also a fact.
 
Depends on which CoD he wants. CoD 1 and 2 are the best ones, in my opinion, and they are both WW2 themed.
 
DOD has a wonderful community IMHO. Most are friendly and are willing to help. PLus theres a lot of killing there is a spawn time but its like 10 sec then you go out and kill some more :-). It's constant action! I play cause i like the WWII theme. Would you enjoy more of a WWII or modern?
 
DOD is simple its team based your not gonna go out and do stuff on your own (you can but you wont win 99% of the time) so if you like talking to your teammates telling them where the enemy is and so on then this is perfect for you... its more tactics based... take and hold a house, push up a street while people provide cover, defend a street so the enemy doesn't take your flag

this is one of the best examples of team based play ive ever seen and i love it so :-)
DODS=one for all and all for one
 
team based playing in the best tbh most satisfaction when you win hahaha,
but i used to own a cod4 server and its not going as good as DOD:S tbh,
so i say stick with us :)
 
I just love how we do so much teamwork in DOD.... Lots of Shooting Actions, Nades, and Knifing.....
 
Um... Seriously depends on which CoD you're talking about. I'm guessing 1 since both are about the same price right now, and DoDS wins in that matchup. But if you're talking about CoD4 or WaW... there's no question the CoDs are better.
 
DOD 1.3 or DODS?
That is the question. 1.3 reqires only a p3 with a 128 meg card.

Now the gameplay is the same but the guns are vastaly different. Source forces you to play the class different.

Now the sales pitch.

go for it man there are more then enough reasons hear stating why it is such a good game. i think you would enjoy it much. hope to see you soon and playing dod on the kalt server even sooner. peace ouwwwwwwt
 
Auto, I just bought this game man, and boy does it rock... So much more fun than TF2 on most times I log in now... =P
