Terrible FPS on STEAM...

Lately I've been playing STEAM games (TF2 especially) and I get horrible FPS, which is under 20. Before, I would get anywhere from 45 fps or more, but now it's horrible. I have 2 3870s in xfire, 9600 processor, and 4 gigs of ram so I'm not sure where the problem is.

Sidenote: my STEAM folder is on a different drive from my OS, the OS is on a Seagate barracuda and all my games are on a WD 6400 AAKS.

Unbelievably, some games play worse in Crossfire/SLI. Could you try playing without one of the cards in?

Hmm... I'll try giving that a shot. Never thought having too much power would be the problem, but meh.
